Smartconnect on C7800?

Is there a way to use SmartConnect on the C7800 Router/modem?  I don't see it in the config screen when I log into the router.

 

I have manually set both the 2.4 and 5 netowrks to the same SSID.  Should I expect any unexpected side effects of that?

    the C7800 doesn't have smart connection. 

    You can set them with the same ssid but devices won't roam between the 2 bands. 

    I'd seperate them out (different ssids) so you can choose which band to connect devices to. For example media streamers, gaming, etc need more bandwidth and should be on the 5ghz.
