SMB on R9000

Hey! I have problem with transfer video files to a hard drive via SMB on Netgear R9000, the video files always becomes incorrupted and the video files stop playing. I have tried to send the files from 2 different mac computers and it gets the same error, it only works when I connect the hard drive directly to the computer via usb transfer, i have the lasted firmwire version on the router.

what can i do?

I think I fixed it, I formatted the external hard drive from ntfs to hfs + and uninstalled the ntfs for mac app, now it seems to work.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What is this error that your seeing?

What USB drive do you have connected?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

      The current firmwire is V1.0.5.40

i don't know the model of the internet Service Providers modem.

The error i see when playing videos on Plex is "playback error" "an unexpected playback error problem occurred" or when i play with vlc the video just stop.

The usb drive i have connected is Seagate Expansion Portable Drive.

I have tried to reset the router without success.

Does this happen with a different USB drive, say a small USB flash drive?

What is the size of the Seagate drive?

Does it have it's own power supply?
