Speeds are slowed down when connected to router R8000

I get 520mbps with my modem hardwired connected to my laptop. When I connect to the router I drop down to 265mbps. Any one have suggestions as to what could be causing the router to knock down my spee...

what modem is it? 

What firmware are you on? 

Have you tried disabling qos, access control, parental controls, and traffic monitoring? (then reboot the modem after disabled)

    traffic monitoring and parental controls are off? 


    Even after disabling them, sometimes a factory reset is needed to re-enable ctf that allows for faster speeds. 

    Also, your Arris NVG468MQ is a modem/router combo device 

    It can cause a double nat as well as it has its own qos/traffic monitoring.
