Still have amber power light even after attempt at factory reset. How to unbrick?
My WNDR450/N900 has an amber power light, even after attempting a factory reset.
I've seen various discussions that indicate I will need to manually TFTP firmware onto the router to attempt to get it working again.
Just downloaded firmware verison
WNDR4500-V1.0.1.46_1.0.76.chk
Is this the best method of trying to unbrick this router?
Is there some other attempt to reset that I am unaware of or have neglected to try?

tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide

just make sure you enable tftp

and here's a video walk through.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
