subnet over AP

I have a network configured as shown below. The issue is that the E4200 configured with a different subnet IP (192.168.2.xxx) vs, the EA4500 with IP 192.168.1.xxx will not pick up an internet connection over the AP. Is this even possible to make work. In the past the R9000 was configured as a router with its own internet connection. In that case everything worked fine.

Does the name "Netgear" appear anyplace on your (Linksys?) "EA4500"?

Unless you told the EA4500 how to communicate with devices on the
"192.168.2.*" subnet, I'd expect problems.  Why do you want multiple LAN
    subnets?

Why are you trying to use both the R9000-as-WAP and the
E4200-as-router?  What is the actual problem which this array of devices
    is intended to solve?

  • Issue has been resolved! The EA4200 was the only device in the network not on UPS protection. Over the winter there were several power '"fluctuations" (read outages) in my area. Apparently part of the router was damaged. Replacing with a new router, configured the same way, resolved the issue. Now I have a new paperwieght.
