Turns out it was the NAS was the source of error. Did a fabric reset that solved everything

I have a Synology NAS and have no problems accessing it from Windows and Mac.
It's strange that you can log into the Synology's web portal but yet you can't ping it. Have you checked that the firewall on the Synology isn't blocking anything?
Do you have jumbo frames enabled on the Synology? If so, turn it off. Netgear routers do not support jumbo frames.
