Switch Advice for Gaming and Home Office

Question

I need advice on a switch model for a home office that also has my gaming PC. My house is wired for Gigabit ethernet. I don't need anything higher right now. The devices I would be connecting to start would be:

Gaming PC
Work PC
Network Printer

I looked at the Nighthawk series for the gaming aspects, but they seem to be sold out. Have they been discontinued? Are the "regular" switches suitable for gaming?

A dumb switch is a dumb switch is a dumb switch. They're virtually all the same and are suited for many tasks, including gaming.&nbsp;
