A couple things.
Are wired connections dropping?
Reason I'd start there is spectrum is really really good at blaming 3rd party equipment.
If you currently have their equipment, I'd make them get it up and running perfect from a wired perspective and then I'd upgrade the modem.
Otherwise, they'll say that its your equipment causing the issue.
Once its fixed, then I'd recommend any of netgears docsis 3.1 devices.
- kragar33Nov 06, 2021AspirantWe don't have anything that is wired (our smart tv doesn't have a Ethernet port I wish it did lol) they came out and check all wires inside and out and replaced the router/modem, it improved for nearly a week then started the same thing again. I showed them on my Dell Laptop that the speedtest was showing low speeds and they blamed it on being an older Dell

Do you have ANY wired devices? That'd let you at least see if wired devices had issues. I showed them on my Dell Laptop that the speedtest was showing low speeds and they blamed it on being an older Dell-----it could be. without specifics on the laptop/wireless card, its tough to tell you what speeds it should get. And a 2.4ghz only device is going to be slow and sensitive to interference. Do all devices have issues? just the dell? Are you using 2.4ghz? 5ghz? What all devices do you have? How big is your home? What speeds do you pay for? What speeds are you getting on each device?
