Tracking Data Usage

I have a Nighthawk AC1900, Model R6900 Smart WiFi Router.

I was told today by AT&T that as of last August, 2017, they no longer allow customers to see their DSL internet data usage online (argh!).    It took talking to 8 different AT&T reps and two weeks to be told this when my initial question was:  How can I view my DSL internet data usage online in my online account?   So frustrating.

In my google searching, I think I've seen something that indicates that I may be able to track my DSL internet data usage by logging into my Nighthawk router.    I am so hoping this is true!    Can anyone help me with this and direct me to specific instructions on how to do it?  I really don't understand data jargon, but I want to be able to see data usage, preferably on a daily basis, so I can determine why we have gone over our 150GB data plan each month beginning last September....which coincidentally is the month after AT&T took away our ability to track DSL internet data usage online.   Suspicious, I am.
