Turning Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router (R7000) into wifi extender

The R7000 used to support wireless repeating function. It was removed with firmware but I'm not sure exactly what firmware it was removed from. You can go through the release notes if you really want to use it as such.
Or you could check out running either a powerline device, moca adapter, or ethernet and using it in AP mode (access point)
Though this model router doesn't support a actual "Extender" mode, it does support wireless Repeater mode:
