Unable to connect to 5GHz - (Nighthawk x6 AC3200 (r8000))

I've recently bought a Nighthawk x6 AC3200 and everything is working all right, except that my computer can't seem to detect the 5 GHz bands.  On my computer, I have a PCE-N53 PCI-E Adapter Dual-ban...

On the PCE-N53 box, it is written:

"Operating Frquency

2.4GHz / 2.4 - 2.483GHz

5GHz / 5.1 - 5.8 GHz"

 

The router is currently set on channel 44 (by default, it can be set to 36, 40, 44 or 48) for the 5GHz-1, and channel 153 (by default, it can be set to 149, 153, 157 or 161) for the 5GHz-2.

Both are set to the "Up to 1300 Mbps" mode, but the network card has a data rate of up to 300 Mbps.

 

Which channel should I put instead?

Does my issue have anything to do with the driver's "Country Region (5 GHz)" setting (currently set at #0 (36 - 64, 149 - 165))?

It may sound flippant, but try every channel until you find one that works.

 

Also, make sure the driver is set to use 5 GHz.  Sometimes, the setting won't be obvious.  It could be obscure, like setting the wireless mode to either 802.11b/g/n or 802.11a/b/g/n.  The latter choice includes 802.11a, which operates at 5 GHz and would be the more correct choice.
