Unable to continue update after reboot
My Nighthawk says I have an update available. Router R7960P.
When I start the update, my app tells me that it will reboot my router and update firmware.
The reboot finishes (I know this because my internet turns back on as does the router) and the "CONTINUE" call to action becomes available to press. However, this button does not work. I select CONTINUE again and again and again and am not taken to a new screen. I cannot navigate back or exit either so I'm forced to quit my app and cannot complete the firmware update.
Please help. There is no instructions for how to troubleshoot this online. No ability to chat support. Etc.
I do not want to get another router and would like to stick with my nighthawk but not being able to update firmware makes this nearly impossible.

- microchip8MasterDon't use crappy apps for update and certainly not wifi as it can go wrong. Go to NETGEAR's site, download the update, extract it and use a wired PC to update by going to http://192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net

Experienced users avoid the mobile application like the plague. They also avoid automatic updates or updating over Wi-Fi. Just too many opportunities for something to go wrong.
Here are the best instructions for manually updating the firmware from an Ethernet connected computer.

If you are in a position with no Ethernet port or connection, Wi-Fi will sometimes work. Recommend you obtain a USB/RJ45 Ethernet adapter for use with laptop computers.
