Unable to do a NAS backup with Netgear R7800 router..works with Asus router (0x8007050)
This is a common problem (0x80070570) windows 8 & above which I know. I'm trying to do a complete system image backup to my HDD which is Buffalo PZ-U3 (USB3.0) which is attached to the router's USB ...

Yes, I'm using the native Windows 7 backup and restore on Windows 10 pro 64 bit OS.
This backup runs fine on another router tho but fails on this R7800.
I have attached the Buffalo PZ U3 HDD to the R7800 and have used a CAT 7 ethernet cable to connect the laptop to the router. This error is produced everytime the "backing C drive" appears. I think I might just get rid of the Netgear and buy an Asus router. Asus routers do come withther own set of issues, i.e their WiFi is unstable even on 5ghz.

Does this other router have its own way of dealing with attached USB drives?
I assume that it has something similar to ReadySHARE.
If so, compare the different configuration with that and the ReadySHARE option.
