Often it feels better if others have it as bad or worse than yourself.
The latest version 1.0.4.46 for R8000 also have UNPN broken, not a word from Netgear even if a huge number of users have reported this for the last 5 months. They have not even acknowledge that it doesn’t work.

If they acknowledge the firmware is broken then folks would expect them to fix it. This way they can sit back and ignore since they do not acknowledge an issue. There are firmware issues that are over a year old that plagued my r8000 when I had it and the issues are still present. I would not hold my breath as it seems that there is no testing of firmware for bug fixes before posting. On top of that, lots of lucky folks cannot use features they bought the router for, because in Negear's infinite wisdom they added Armor and had to remove features to make room for Armor. Not the company I remember. My Netgear modem works fine, but I moved on for a router.
