the TC8717T is a modem/router combo device. its not strictly a modem.
Unless you have it in passthrough/modem only mode (not all device implement properly) it can put you in a double nat.

options?
1. put the TC8717T in modem only/pass through mode
2. put the netgear's ip address in the TC8717t's dmz
3. put the netgear in access point mode.
just use one of those modes.

- AosborneflDec 06, 2020TutorThank you. But how do I get to this point if it doesn’t fully let me setup the router? Everytime I’m in the process of setting it up it can’t detect the cables, I close the app and reopen and it makes me start the process over again. Do I just need to set my modem to pass through mode?
