Usb modems

Hello. I see that walmart sells a Nighthawk ac1750 R6350-100NAS, i was wondering if it supported 4g usb modems. Being such a simple concept id assume this wouldnt be a problem, but doing some research it seems not every router, despite having a usb port, does not support usb modems. Help me please.

No. The USB ports fulfill only one function, USB storage for ReadySHARE. And then with only a limited array of drives.

Anything else would need drivers, and that simply is not possible on a router.

    What's that?

The best place to check whether a device supports a router is to talk to the people who made the device.

Routers are routers are routers. In general, they don't care what feeds them as long as it has a LAN port that will plug into the WAN socket on the router.

The modem in question uses a usb connector. All i want to know is if i can connect the modem directly to the usb port on the router, because doing some research apparently its not that simple. Also, if it doesnt work, apparently its not as simple as buying a usb to ethernet adapter either. This is such a simple concept.

Basic question is can i connect the modem to the usb port and still be able to get a connection?
