Using a second router as repeater

I’m replacing my Netgear R6260 (AC1600) with model Netgear RAX35 (AX3000).

Is it possible to use the older one as a repeater to a hard to reach area the house?

Can the Nighthawk app be used to accomplish this ?

like microchip8 says, that router doesn't have a repeater mode.

But it can be setup as an access point if you can hardwire it in.

You could do this either using ethernet, powerline, or a moca adapter.

And if thats not possible, you could always just connect it to the new router right by it and set it up as an access point and use it to offload things like IoT devices or simple streamers.
