Using CM1150V with RAX120. Is port aggregation possible?
For normal operation of the two devices for internet it looks as if the WAN port on the RAX needs to be connected to port one on the 1150. But in order to use port aggregation the RAX, ports 1 and 2 ...

Okay, so I figured it out. I needed to enable WAN aggregation on the RAX under "Setup", "Internet Setup", and "Ethernet Port Aggregation" under "Advance" on the 1150.

So want is the difference? I currently have cm1200 port 1 plugged into wan on the rax and port 2 on modem plug into port lan 1. Creating WAN aggregation. What are the benefits of port aggregation?

Perhaps. Perhaps not.

I'll bite. If you don't know, then why bother doing it?
The idea is that two 1Gb/s Ethernet links can cary data at
(approximately) twice the rate of one 1Gb/s Ethernet link. If your
Internet service provides more than 1Gb/s, then an aggregated link
between the modem and the router should provide more speed over that
path.Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for "Ethernet Port
Aggregation".
I know nothing, but as I read the User Manual for a "Nighthawk AX12
12-Steam AX6000 WiFi Router" (carefully proofread, obviously -- I use
only internal-combustion routers, not "Steam", and certainly not
"12-Steam"), I see instructions for aggregating two _LAN_ Ethernet
ports. If it's possible to use aggregation on the WAN/Internet side of
an RAX120, then it's not obvious to me.- DominicanMacProMar 21, 2020Apprentice
antinode Also you can read up on wan aggregation if I recall when I originally read the manual it said nothing about this setup FYI then I came across this link below confirming it was possible. So the manual isn't always the best if it hasn't been updated!
Bug Fixes:
- Fixes some web GUI page issues for the function of WAN aggregation port (Internet port + Ethernet port 1) or the Multi-Gig Ethernet port to be set as the WAN preference
- Includes security fixes
