Using Kodi / Readyshare with Android TV (Nighthawk X4S R7800 - AC2600)
Hi there, I am trying to use the connected storage on my router to set-up file sharing with my Android TV (Sony KD-49XD7005 running Android 8.0). I have found that ReadyShare is anything but intuitive, but I did manage to get it to work with my Windows 10 desktop PC running Kodi using the setting smb://CastleR7800/UStorage/MOVIES/
FTP and HTTP including FTP(S) and HTTP(S) have proven hard to get to work, even on the Windows 10 desktop PC Kodi.
Getting it to work with Kodi on Android TV (8.x) has proven impossible however. Replicating the above settings, I get errors that smb:// is not accessible. I can't get FTP or HTTP to work either. Can anyone tell me if Kodi is meant to work with Android at all on the R7800? If not, do I have any other options to access my media files on my Android TV using this router?
The default workgroup is set to Workgroup on the router.
