VPN issues with R6900v2

 am trying to setup the VPN service on my router for home network access only. I have followed this KB How do I enable the VPN feature on my NETGEAR router using a Windows computer? | Answer | NETGEAR Support

The connection is made on my android phone. However when I try to access my home network on my phone, I am unable to.

I checked the attached devices on my router and I noticed the connection is made, however the "local IP address" and the "Remote IP address" seem to be swapped. Remote should be my phone's public IP and the local should be the private IP, right?

If that is correct, then what could be causing this? I have added my router's VPN settings and the attached devices showing the VPN connection. If you need more info, just let me know what info.
