We’ve been running a nighthawk R7000 for a few years now

Hi guys! So I live in the sticks, stuck on DSL getting roughly 6mb. We’ve been running a nighthawk R7000 for a few years now (this is actually our second one) to use the additional LAN ports and to extend wifi across the house where our router didn’t really reach. We bought this R700 maybe a year ago because of the issue this one is giving now. The modem is directly wired to the router, the necessary lights are on, and we can even connect to the nighthawks wifi but we get “no internet connection”. It was working fine for months and just decided to **bleep** out on us now. Anyone know what could be going on?

Best thought of the other way round. The router picks up its cues (and settings) from the modem.

    What is that  modem?
