Where can I change the user name admin?

Ok. Please explain how a different user name would improve security
more than using a longer password.

Perhaps on some other router, or with some future firmware version on
your router?
If you think that using a different user name for the administrator
account would improve security, them you might consider adding your
proposed alternative user name to your current "admin" password.
The firmware is V1.0.2.60_10.0.44, The hardware is R6700v3. I am concerned with security. I don't see how to add a user to use instead of admin.

I agree being able to change the admin name would close off an entry point on your network but untill the firmware allows it we are sick with the same issue.
