Why is my R7000 slowing down my network?

I have a Nighthawk R7000. It's connected to my cable internet service provider modem via ethernet.  The provider promises me 100 Mpbs and I have been getting that or just a little more or less depend...

        Wow my friend you are a genuis!  That did it.  I installed latest firmware and ran 3 tests.  All were above 100 Mbps!!  I had not set the R7000 to automtaically update beacuse sometimes updates cause problems and I like to wait and see what others experience with updates.
