Why Router Blocks some websites??
Hey Community,
ALthough my router is working fine and giving great signal strength, but since two week it is blocking some website including Wikipedia, sometime youtube, a stitching website, and some random websites.
These all websites are not FTP sites or anything which can harm to secuirty. For example I usaully visit stitching website which is completely based on sewing and embroidery, but that s blocked.
In addition, I replaced this router with an old TP-Link router, and the sites are not blocked.
If you're curious about Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer, I tested all three.
In all three, I deleted the cache and cookies.
As I previously stated, this issue is difficult to pinpoint to this router.
I'm really hoping that someone can help me out because this thing is ready to fall apart. I have never paid this much money for such a high level of annoyance in my life.

Which router do you have? A model number would help
Which firmware version (not "the latest" but a number)
Have you tried different DNS servers like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8?

You didn't give us much to go off.
1. what router do you have?
2. what firmware is on it?
3. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
4. are you using armor/parental controls?
5. is ipv6 enabled? (if not, enable it and reboot)

The router has been administered by one of my knowledgeable friend, and the majority of the websites are now operational. However, two websites that I visit on a regular basis are still unavailable. My friend claims that the problem is with the websites rather than the router. However, I'm not sure because those websites work optimally on different networks.

It's completely insane. How is it possible that the website is down due to a router issue? With these pointless queries, you're wasting the time of this community. I'm a web developer, and I've never heard of or dealt with the problem you've stated.

I'm not sure why you're speaking in this way. I'm having an issue with my router because I'm using AC1900 and it's blocking several websites. I wrote here and spoke with one of my friends, and he made some adjustments, and the most of the websites began to work. However, three websites were still down, and he stated that it could be a website problem.
I did not believe in his statement as blocking website also include Wikipedia. I didn't know anything about networking, and as a result, I've been helpless since last week. I've provided links to websites that you can check out on your own.

These are the sites which are not still accessible and I am going to share screenshots, so no one can say I am wasting the time of honorable community.
