Wi-Fi Range & Bandwidth

I have a NG R-6250 Wi-Fi & Router in a 2,600 sq-ft house. Zoom link performance 50' away is poor. Wok around is to connect an Ethernet Cable from router to device. 1) What sort of Wi-Fi repeater is available from NetGear to enhance Wi-Fi signal at 50' from R-6250?? And 2) what is the effective bandwidth of Wi-Fi on the 6250? Internet connection is 150Mbs Cable. Thx, - Russ

50ft shouldn't be an issue unless there's obstructions in the way. As well as what those obstructions are. Certain materials like plaster lathe, brick, adobe, concrete/cement, metal, foil lined insulation all block wifi extremely well.

    so anything in the way?

Also, are you using 2.4ghz or 5ghz?

2.4ghz is much slower and sensitive to interference.

    what modem/gateway do you have?

What firmware is on the router?

There certainly are extenders out there but figuring out the root cause if the issue is key.

If you do decide to go with an extender, I'd recommend a tri-band extender. Standard single/dual band extenders take a 50% speed hit. The tribands don't because they have a dedicated 5ghz backhaul connection for just router---extender communication.
