Wifi Not Working, lights off, ethernet working

My wifi lights turned off and I can no longer access my networks. Similar to another user I have tried everything to get them back on with wifi running

I can connect to the router via ethernet, but everything I try in the settings doesn't work. Even tried the netgear geenie app. Nothing.

SSID is enabled and both 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks are enabled in the gateway settings. 

The wifi button on the front of the router is on but pressing it for any resonable length of time does nothing.

when I log into the gatway the "home" tab no longer displays anything and I'm constantly prompted for my admin login credentials. I can navigate other gateway pages, but nothing I do seems to change anything

I power cycled, factory reset, redid the coaxial connection

says I'm running firmware v6.01.07 but netgear site states current firmway is v3.01.xx depending on ISP.

What in the hell is happening? any help would be appreciated
