Greetings, My CAX80 using Comcast works fine when in wifi mode to Wink2 home hub, but it will not work using an ethernet cable from CAX80 to Wink2 home hub. I have tried different ports and different cables but I always come up empty. Has anyone had similar problem and are there fixes? Thanks, Lou F.

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Cable Modem products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Cable modems and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Cable-Modems-Routers/bd-p/home-cable-modems-routersI would contact the Mfr of the Wink hub device and ask for help and information regarding there product.
Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Knowing nothing about wink hubs, 1 thing you can try is setting up the wink hub in the netgears DMZ when its hardwired in.
I'd also contact wink hub about this.
the netgear shouldn't be treating the hub any different when hardwired in versus wireless.
so it might be a question to ask wink about.

plemans,
I contacted Wink several times without a solution to my problem, they are not the easiest tech support to work with (email only and not very quick with answers). When you say setup Wink in DMZ, what do you mean? I'm unfamiliar with that type of setup. Could you elaborate for a newbie?
Thanks, Lou F.
