I have been hacked. Scammer has my IP address, ID# and password. Should I reset my router or buy a new one.

         A WNR2000v1 is pretty old.

Resetting should be about as effective as replacement, but, with my
weak psychic powers, I couldn't say what you'd gain by doing it.  You
should be able to change any router-related passwords without a reset.
