X6 (R8000) MU-MIMO enabled yet?

  • Hi KR-H,

There will be a new router that will be available soon with MU-MIMO. The model is R8000P.

  • Its hardware doesnt support MU-MIMO just like the R7000 which is similar to it minus the extra 5Ghz band. Either way if you want a properly working MU-MIMO solution you would want a Qualcomm WifI chipset router like the R7800/R9000 since Broadcom's MU-MIMO is not that mature even in routers that support it. Very few clients out right now that even support MU-MIMO, most laptops have Intel WiFi adapters and Macs and iPhones dont support it either. A lot of new Android phones do however.
