XBOX SERIES X DOWNLOAD SPEEDS BAD THROUGH R8000 ROUTER - VIRGIN MEDIA 1 GIG
I've just upgraded to Virgin media's Hub 4 and now get 1 gig internet through it......if my Xbox Series X is plugged into it directly i get the full 1 gig download speeds, and downloading games is mega quick. But the wifi on Virgin's hub's are terrible so i much prefer to use my R8000 router......everything on it is fine, except for some reason the Xbox Series X seems to limit itself to around 200-250 meg.......why is that? It's directly plugged in to the router now instead of the virgin hub obviously, but my NAT is OPEN.....QOS is disabled........is there anything i can do to try and get the full 1 gig?? What could be blocking the signal from Virgin hub to the R8000? As i said the wifi is very good on it but the Xbox isn't.......and can't seem to find a Netgear UK customer service number anywhere either??

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers?_ga=2.190834155.1964120923.1641394007-133989108.1641394007

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.
