2 routers. Can't attache the cable modem to the new Netgear
I just purchased a RS300. After unplugging the ethernet cable from my old router (the cable that goes to the modem) and into the RS300 I could not get an internet connection. If I keep the old router...
I did try that. The Netgear will not connect to te modem at all like that.
I would return the RS to place of purchase and get another to try. The router should connect to the modem and after a power cycle of the modem, the RS should get internet services with the modem or behind a primary router.
