Apple Mac Internet Connection issue with new RS600

I recently installed a Netgear RS600 router, replacing my RAX120

All of our devices connect perfectly (Wife's Mac, phones, cameras, garage opener, TVs, Washer) EXCEPT for my Mac (running 18.2 macOS)

Every day when I start it up, it says connected (to either 2.4 or 5G) but it will not access the internet

All I do is switch to the other band and it comes right up

So if 2.4, I switch to 5G, or vice versa

Any ideas on a setting on my Mac to fix this

Again, wife's Mac (same model and macOS version) works without any issue

Thanks in advance, I thought I would check here before calling Netgear or AppleCare

  • Is this MAC a Mac Book Or iMac or is this a iPhone? IOS 18.2 is only seen on iPhones or Pads. For laptops and Apple PCs, OSX 12, 14 or 15.x are OS versions for those devices.

Sorry, of course - MacBook Pro, Sequoia 15.2

My error, too many devices I guess

      Appreciate your reply

What year is the MBP? Mines a 2018 and I have mine dual booting with 15.2 Beta on USB external drive and OSX 12 on the main drive. Both connect to my RS600 fine. Just had it in AP mode and connected the guest network. Had a long zoom meeting Monday and saw no issues. I changed it back to router mode yesterday.

Is SC enabled on our RS?
        What channels are you using?

Smart Connect enabled on mine and using manual channels 1 and 40 and 37.

Try disabling Protection Engine on your RS if you haven't already.
