Can't see my ssid on windows 7 laptop

Works fine on most of my wireless item but on a older laptop with windows 7 can't see the SSID in wireless networks , I tried manual setup with no luck , can I ever use my older windows again with my new nighthawk RS700s ? If so how ???

    what wireless card is in there? and what driver is on it? I know a lot of cards had issues with AX systems much less the newer BE systems. 

    Might be time to pickup a cheap usb wireless card.
