dns settings not being applied to clients

just got a new RS100 and none of the clients on my network (wired or wireless) will get the DNS IP that i put in. i have tried a number of different ones (my Pi-Hole server, google, Quad9), all clien...

    Clients will only get the Router IP address for the DNS. If you input custom DNS on the RS Router, it will use that DNS service to pass thru to the clients. 

    All NG routers work like this.

well not sure what happened, dont think i made any drastic changes, maybe ip leases had to timeout or something, but now it seems to be working. the dns IP on my clients still point to the router, but now ads and being blocked from the pi-hole and other things are being blocked by OpenDNS, so its working as i expect
