Lan Led light on.

I just installed my Netgear rs100. the ethernet and wireless are working as they should.  I have 8 devices on wireless connections  that are working fine.  Why is the LAN LED light illuminated.  It i...

The Lan port Led is on and color is red, indicating a problem somewhere. My wireless network has a good connection to eight different items.

      One 4k sony Tv and one Arlo security camera base station. that is it. on gamers here.

        And is any of these connected to the LAN port? 

        Can you take a screen shot of the front of the RS and post it here?

    You would not be the first person to see that as a RED LED. It may well be AMBER. 

     

    When that happens, the router is usually telling you that something "slow" is plugged into that port. A lot of devices work happily at 100 Mbps. The usual suspects in such cases are TVs and media players.
