Netgear NH - RS70 (No USB ReadyShare)
Been using USB Readyshare on C7000v2 Modem/Router Combo since purchased a few years ago. Needed to add a new Separate Netgear RS70 router and it's clearly understood that USB Readyshare is deactivate...

This whole new equipment thing started because I wanted to introduce a Netgear LM1200 4G Modem as Backup/Failover which would not work with C7000v2 as modem/router combo.
That's where the New RS70 (No USB Readyshare) comes in and then I discovered the C7000v2 Readyshare gets deactivated in Modem Only Mode. Just trying to find a creative solution to regain access to my USB Drive short of buying RS200 that has a USB port for Readyshare. Or even a USB to ethernet dongle if there is such a thing? Thanks...

Does that duo work as you want?
Start there and fill in the other gaps.
If you don't want to configure your network to use the USB on the C7000v2, then you will have to try something else.
Netgear has dropped USB Readyshare from many recent routers. If it isn't too late, return the RS70 for something that does.
This time check before you part with your money. The RAX range is Readyshare friendly. So are some of the RS routers. Forget about Orbi and MK# devices.
If you can find it, even something ancient can add Readyshare to a new router. I have a venerable R7800 in AP mode doing Readyshare duty in my network. You could find something lying around somewhere, but don't expect a cable modem/router to work. As I said earlier, for various reasons those things are much less flexible than other devices.
