Product advice: RS300 router with range extender
Hello everyone,
I am quite new to the forum so I dont know if I am doing this the correct way. I have at home a Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi Router (R7000) and he is ready to be replaced since its quite an old one haha. I was looking for the Nighthawk BE9300 WiFi Router (RS300), since I do a little bit of gaming but mostly just streaming on max 2 devices at the same time. However, I'd like to have a range extender on the top floor of my living. I have an ethernet connection with PoE on the top floor, so the range extender would preferably be compatible with PoE, to make sure that the least amount of cables are used since the range extender will be in sight and will not be hidden in a closet or something. Preferably I would buy the whole system of Netgear, but the Mesh systems will be a bit out of budget haha. Opting for a system that will cost in total like 550EUR or something like that. Besides that, does anyone know if the BE9300 WiFi Router (RS300) has the port forwarding ability? This is very important for my NAS-server and Smarthome installation.
Anyone who has an advice on what hardware to choose for this situation
Thanks in advance!

How big is the space you want to fill?
Try plugging your needs into the filters on the product pages:
Wireless Routers for Home | NETGEAR
Then check back here for reports on the things you are considering, but remember that people turn up in this community with problems, not compliments. So look at reviews on Amazon, for example.
Maybe a Mesh system would work without PoE.
When designing the layout of a network, the idea is not to put a WiFi source at the furthest location in the property where you need WiFi, but to place it somewhere between the main router and the final client.
Just another user with time on their hands.
