Rs100 not connecting to nbn fibre to the premises via LAN cable

When I plug the network cable from my nbn box into the internet port, it says no internet and the light is orange. It works when I plug it into a port on my existing modem router but won’t work using the cable from the wall. Am I doing something wrong?

Something to ask the ISP about. They may have requirements for using external wifi routers with there ONT and services with out there gateway being used. Maybe some special configurations that could be needed. The ISP will have this information.

IF plugging in works from ISPs gateway router and fails at the wall out let, maybe that wall outlet is not working right or not connected right or there is a bad jack or cabling from this wall outlet to it's connection point. Something to have someone take a look at.

Always a good place to start.  Many ISPs require the home router to provide a user name and password to connect.  If it is difficult to reach the ISP help line, sometimes there are instructions on the ISP web site under a title such as, "Bring your own router" or "Use of customer supplied equipment."
