I just recently replace my old NETGEAR router for the RS300. Installation did not go very well at first. After getting my ISP involved we got everything working (TVs, Telephone, and Alarm system) b...

Yes, I removed the software and reinstalled it on my printer and then removed the printer on my router login and reinstalled it. I worked with a technician from Brother and he walked me through steps to get my printer working and eventually said it comes down to the router.

I misspoke!! I never got the software to get past finding the machine on the setup. Instead I inputted the SSID and ip. Then I went back and attempted to find the machine to get the software to continue installing. Nothing. Stuck at that step.

When the printer was installed, did this step work correctly?
This is from the user manual:
https://download.brother.com/welcome/doc100736/cv_mfc690dw_use_qsg_c.pdf
and the printer appears on the router list of Attached Devices with an IP address?

Also, did you do a complete reinstall of the printer software from here?
Since you know the IP address from the router's attached device list, you can also try adding back the printer using these steps:

In reply to both of your posts in regard to the printer install, I did both of your suggestions with following results. In regard to Crimps and Stephen B. suggestions, I did get both the router and the printer having the same information. My trouble is that the setup process of loading the software went no further because no machine is found. You have heard the old saying "even an old blind squirrel can find a nut", well this old blind squirrel found one by downloading the new driver from Brother.com for Windows 11 and lo and behold, my printer started printing again but eventually it stopped again and I changed my port over to the usb001 port and got it working again. Defeats the wireless mode, but print is print. Thank you both for helping me out.
