RS300 & CityFibre - IDNet
Hello,
Can’t seem to find conclusive evidence if the Netgear Nighthawk RS300 BE9300 will work with IDNet on a CityFibre connection.
IDNet mentions VLAN 911 tagging but posts on the web seem to suggest the Netgear VLAN tagging implementation doesn’t cover the WAN port.
Any feedback greatly appreciated.
thanks

Most ISP's either supply you with an ONT or a gateway to convert from fibre to ethernet. I haven't seen one that doesn't work.
I'd just buy from somewhere with a decent return policy in case you can't get it working.

Every Netgear Router ever released has this feature. It was introduced in the Netgear world - by ZyXEL (the OEM of Netgear's first router) manufactured in their Hsinchu many decades ago, whe I was young...
Even ISP Provided media devices and ONT sometimes require setting a VLAN for the "Internet" a configuration on place by default.
FMI RT*M Set up a bridge for a VLAN tag group, p.97 ff.
Adjust the default Internet config to use VLAN 911.
