RS300 and USB printer
Hi I want to connect a USB printer (Canon G640) to the router and use it from all the computers.
Hardware Version: RS300
Firmware Version: V1.0.1.74
OS: WIN11
I've connected a USB cable between the router and the printer. The use cable is good as I'm able to connect the USB to a computer and print a sample page from that computer.
I've installed Netgear USB Control Center on one of the computer that is connected to the router WIFI but the router is not detected by the software. Also, the software is very old and it is said on this page https://www.netgear.com/support/product/readyshare_usb_printer/#download that the software has reached end-of-service.
On this page: https://kb.netgear.com/19593/How-do-I-download-and-install-the-ReadySHARE-Printer-utility
There are instructions on how to install the ReadShare Printer utility but when I click on the download link on this page I get 404.
Please advise if this is possible on RS300 routers and if so, how to do this?
tnx

Please refer to the "This article applies to" in your link for what NG routers support that.
You might also check that printer. I looked and it shows wifi support for a connection. Why not just connect it via wifi to the router?
