it only happens with the MacBook Air using Finder. What is weird is that if I do go to the folders and let them load, Finder remembers the folder and the files automatically load. But if I reboot the Mac, it "forgets" the drive and the folders and I have to go through the minutes long connection to the drive and then take several minutes per folder to let them load.
I can't be sure. I have an ethernet cable, but I don't have an adapter to connect the Air to the ethernet cable. I could order one from Amazon.
I am not sure. Where do I find that in the settings?
I am not sure of that either. Where do I find it?

I went through with official Netgear support (I got fooled a time before) and checked out everything. Then are convinced it is Finder on the Mac so I am on hold with Apple Support right now.
Thank you for the help 🙂

Let us know how it turns out.
- CRLchrisJan 06, 2025TutorIt didn’t. Went through their entry level support first and then went to advanced. They agree, since the 3rd party apps work, that Finder must be the problem. I even installed my old Apple AirPort Extreme and the problem was fixed. But there are extremely limited settings and troubleshooting options for Finder. By design it’s supposed to be idiot proof and not able to be configured in the way we would need to.
So i posted in Apple Community Support to see if anyone on there might have a suggestion.
