What happens if you deliberately fill all three DNS entries with the same one, such as Google 8.8.8.8 ?

(My old Orbi has DNS set to Google and CloudFlare, so I just added Google again:)

Does not appear that the firmware in my old router pays any attention to what is entered as DNS servers.

Added only the 2 ISP DNS servers in the first and second DNS, but still 1.1.1.1 appears as the third DNS in the router status page. I will add some other DNS in the third option and see.

Whatever DNS I use in the router dns options, the Cloudflare DNS server gets automatically added in the available dns servers for my client devices.

  • After upgrading the firmware, I noticed that cloudflare DNS server was automatically added as the third DNS server from my ISP
