Ok. NG is making tuning adjustments to the PE feature. Hopefully next FW update or an PE update will make it better so you can turn it back ON.
Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
Is Protection Engine enabled on the RS routers web page? Under Advanced Tab/Administration/Security. If so, disable this feature, apply the change and reboot the router.

Checking Wifi via Wifi Sweetspots app

General question of debugging these issues. What applications are there to assist in capturing network connectivity over time for post review? On my iPhone, I found Wifi Sweetspots, but for some reason I cannot save the file. Any others (Windows or iOS) that would assist here? Thanks!

Well I believe turning of Protection Engine was it. I have used Wifi Sweetspots about 6-8 times for ~5-8 minutes each time on my iPhone and other than 1 time when I saw a drop from ~650 to ~100, it was pretty steady between 850 and 500. There was one odd instance when monitoring that it went to zero but some for some reason, the Wifi router itself rebooted?! Anyways, thanks.
