RS500 Internet disconnect

Every day from 1100-1500 my router disconnects from the internet. I can disconnect the internet cable from the router and plug it in directly into my desktop computer to maintain internet access, However, WiFi runs through the router so anything that requires WiFi (everything) isn't accessable. At 1500 I plug the internet cable back into the router and get access again. Thanks for any help.

  • Does the internet LED turn AMBER or RED when this happens?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

What devices do you have connected to the router? Brand and model please.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.

The internet light remains white. I have the current version downloaded. It's a brand new cable. LocalTel is my service provider. The internet cable goes directly from the wall to the router and the LAN cable goes from ch 1 on the router to the internet connection on my desktop.

I've called LocalTel support many times as this has been a persistant problem for approx. 2 mths. At first they believed it must be a faulty router, so I bought a different one...same result.

If happening with different router installed, then this is a ISP issue that they need to fix.
