I agree. I don't lose much with the 80 Mhz bandwidth, just that I get more speeds in the 5 Ghz 160 Mhz bandwidth in my phone as the range of the 6 Ghz band is much shorter. It would be nice if the router included the bandwidth drop in the logs when DFS interference is detected.
Most people don't realize they don't need 800mbps on their devices. Streaming 4k only takes 25-50mbps on average. So unless you downloading massive files or moving datasets, going from 100mbps to 800mpbs won't make much difference. Its also why the vast majority of tv's don't come with even gigabit ports. Just 100mbps ports.
Yes I don't need that much speed in my phone. Just noticed that when I reboot, the 5 Ghz channel had changed to 40 with 80 Mhz bandwidth although it was manually set to 44 by me, looks like there's some interference in channel 44 from neighboring wifi. The auto channel in the 5 Ghz band selection always picks up the DFS channel 100 which has significantly lower transmit power than the non DFS channels.
