rs500 slow upload speed

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
Is Protection Engine enabled on the RS routers WEB page under advanced tab/Security? If it is, try to disable this and reboot the RS router aftewards.
What devices are you using to speed test over wired and wireless?

It was. I disabled and rebooted to the same results.

Wired: HP desktop with a 1000/1000 realtek 'Gaming GbE Family Controller''
Wireless: Pixel 9 pro, Pixel 6, and a few android tablets.
And what speeds do you see when you ethernet connect a PC directly to your ONT with out the RS connected?
We noticed slow upload speed issues with certain ONTs like: Alcatel-Lucent 211M-L, Nokia G-211M-C, someone said they are the same model too. I guess Alcatel-Lucent I-211-L is actually the same model.
So far people reporting the issue used Verizon / FiOS service with the ONTs. We still work on the issue and, at this point, the issue is still open.
