How are you manually updating the router?
What browser are you using? Try MS Edge or Firefox?
Are you unpacking the .zip file to reveal the actual FW file to be sent to the routers web page using the web browser?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

I'm having the same issue as Viperion.
Running V1.0.7.86. The router doesn't see the new firmware for almost 2 weeks, even after countless time of clicking "Check".
Manually uploading the firmware starts the process. After the restart, it still shows V1.0.7.86.
After a year of no firmware upgrades, no update on MLO support, now this.

Administration -> Router Update -> Manual
Using Edge browser.
Obviously, I unzip the package and upload the chk file
It's on quantum fiber, connected to Q1000K.

Might try Firefox or try the following, setup the router, off line from the ONT. Once one the home page go directly in and manually update the router with the .chk file.
Do you get any notice of a failure during the update or nothing and the FW version doesn't change?- DrunkKittieJan 29, 2025Guide
No error message, after the router boots up it showed the old firmware version.
I tried the IOS app, it told me there is no new version available.
Just now, I tried manual update again, this time from Firefox, and this time it worked ok, and I can see it's updated to 96. Not sure if that's a coincedence and trying again with Edge would work as well, but thanks for the suggestion FURRYe38!- mavereFeb 12, 2025Aspirant

Neither browser for manual update worked for me, and just like you, the older version (86) still shows upon router reboot. I'm not going to worry about this for the time being.

We do staged rollout for every firmware release, so not every router could see new firmware when it looks for new versions. But manual upgrade still works (i.e. to download new firmware from the support site to a local disk, and then update the router with a local firmware file from the Web GUI)..
