When you ethernet connect up the EAX in AP mode, the EAX effectively is using this same ethernet cable from the host router as a BH. So anything connecting wirelessly or wired to the other ports will go thru this one ethernet cable from the host router to the EAX. This is NOT MESH though.

If you have another NETGEAR router, and you can connect two routers through an Ethernet cable. You can setup the other NETGEAR router in the AP mode to extend the WiFi coverage.
