Leave uPnP enabled.
Check on the RS web page under Advanced Tab/Setup/WAN setup for NAT Filter. Set NAT filter from Secure to OPEN.
This is needed if you have two more game consoles online at the same time and getting OPEN NAT Staus in games. Found this years ago.

I have tried with the default UPnP settings, I have tried port forwarding with UPnP off, I have tried reserving the IP addresses.
From what I can find online if these options don’t work it’s highly likely the router won’t support two Xboxes at once.
Is there a solution that anyone knows of?
- Ru123Jan 12, 2025AspirantThank you both. They’re two different xbox accounts.
I did find that WAN setting and set NAT to open so that’s not it either unfortunately.- FURRYe38Jan 12, 2025Guru - Experienced User
Did you hard power OFF the xboxes and then reboot the RS router after you set NAT Filter to OPEN? After router was bacdk to ready, power ON one xbox and check to see if it's signs on and then check NAT status on it's dash board. Then turn on the 2nd game console?
How are the game consoles connected to the router? Wired is preferred. Can try wireless as well.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
- Ru123Jan 14, 2025AspirantThanks, yes I have done all of that - the NAT status on both is actually open and they will both load into games but then the internet will completely drop out.
They’re both wireless. We have fttp so it’s a standard nbn box.
I have swapped back to the isps router until I can work out how to fix this, and the Xbox’s are working perfectly again.
